It's a great wooden spool. It measures about 7 inches tall. I was thinking of making a lamp stand out of it. Or maybe a pendant light. What do you think?

What Should I Do With It Wednesday? #3
I'll be posting the results of the last What Should I Do With It Wednesday (#2) later. This week I'd like input on what to do with this:
It's a great wooden spool. It measures about 7 inches tall. I was thinking of making a lamp stand out of it. Or maybe a pendant light. What do you think?

I have two of these (along with other objects) set in a large basket under my glass top coffee table. I have wrapped burlap ribbon around one, a supply of jute around the other, so they are decorative but also serve as storage for those two items.
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of wrapping it with burlap strips or jute, keeping it rustic and natural.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you chose to do with it, I would want to leave it as natural as possible. You could leave it the way it is and put it with a grouping of fall things. Great find.

ReplyDeleteI have a taller version of this in bathroom, holding the toilet paper. I've had so many compliments on such and easy decorating idea!
